​What identification papers do I need to bring?
 
I will need to see:
 
Your Passport  or
Photocard driving licence
 
And
 
Evidence of your address, such as:-
Bank Statement
Utility bill
Council Tax bill

​If you are unable to provide these, then the following may be acceptable and each person whose signature I am to certify must provide one of the following original identification documents at the time of the appointment:
 
National identity card (EEA state members)
An armed forces’ pass (with photo and signature)
Firearms licence (with photo and signature)
Other government issue ID (with photo and signature)
Residence permit
As well as proof of address

 
When a Notary public is acting for a corporate client, evidence of the authority of the person signing the document will be required.
 
In addition, each individual signatory will need to produce one of the identification documents mentioned above.
 
If you are unable to produce these, please call me to discuss what other identification may be acceptable.
